More About Me
Hello, I am Dr. RAMAN IBRAHIM Nawaal Benazir Bint. I am a science enthusiast. I Graduated with a PhD in Plant Biotechnology from the University of Mauritius. My doctoral research entitled 'Study of some extracts of two Cassia species and a Senna species for their antimicrobial and pestidial properties'. The research involved multidisciplinary approaches such as entomology, microbiology, pharmacognosy, molecular biology and phylogenetics. The aim of my research was to validate the biological attributes of Cassia and Senna species and to identify lead compounds to develop novel antibiotics and pesticides to manage infectious diseases against challenging pathogenic microbes and major pests and plant diseases respectively in Mauritius. I am a dynamic person who believes in discipline and punctuality. I am also a fast-learner who is willing to learn new things and share my knowledge.
